The bonds jH voted amount to $1,430,000, whtln thoso defeated amount to $595,000. M Interest centered in tho vote on tho H power plant, as this was hotly con- H tested In the campaign preceding thn H election and was the only Issue to H como Into prominence. Mayor Frank H It. Francis was the chief proponent H of tho power plant and devoted al- H most his entire e ffort to securing M Its approval by the taxpayers.
