Show OFFICERS NAMED FOR CHAMBER OF COMMERCE At the epocial meeting of the directors di-rectors of the Chairfber of Commerct) on Thursday evening the following were elected as the others of the Chamber for ensuing year: George 11. Bow'en, president; O. Q. Cardon. first vice, resident; pr. Oeorgo It. Hill, WoouU vice president: Attorney M. C Harris, treasurer, and M. It. Hovey, secretary. The board members pledged pledg-ed their hearty support to the offl-ccra offl-ccra and the officers promised to bo actlro ond do all they could to make tho Chamber grow and become more .useful to the community. Tho very best of feelings prevailed. Each offl-cor offl-cor was elected by acclamation. The oaiceis will meet at once, go over the supgostlve projects sent in 'by the members and outline a program pro-gram of work for the year. The standing and special committees will also be appointed and with the program pro-gram of wot I;, be submitted at the next meeting of the Chamber for approval. ap-proval. All projects of the past year which arc not completed nnd are still pending, will be contla-tied contla-tied and every effort ade to complete them as soon ns possible. An Important communication was .presented from the Morgan Canning .Co.. calling attention to the delays In mail, parcel post, express and freight shipments botween Morgan and Caclio Valley. It appears the principal princi-pal trouble Is at Ogden whero the transfers aro made. The matter was deemed very Important and tho chair was Instructed to appoint a special icotninlttee of three to Investigate and repott at once at the next meelng of the board. |
