Qulnuey Jr., at 161 West First South, with Miss Joan Moan, Mrs. Howard Maug-han, Maug-han, Mrs. Charter, and Mrs. Qulnney as hostesses. "Sonnetts To Tho Portuguese" Port-uguese" by Elizabeth Barrett Browning Brown-ing was read by Prof. N, A. Peder-sen. Peder-sen. A general d!scu3lon followed. Music was furnished by tho Vlctrola The guests of the afternoon were Mrs. Roy D. Thatcher, Misses Mary Sorensen and Edith Bowen. Refreshments Re-freshments wer served. Mrs. Florenco Hudson gave a delightful reading titled "A Kiss For Clnderolla" and also lead In the discussion which followed. Prof. Johnson sang three vocal solos. Stevons at 21 South First East. Prof, Arnold gavo a very Interesting talk on Harvard Playwrights. He also read a play by Winifred Hawkrldge, a Harvard student titled "Florists Shop." Miss Hopo Mo Murtrlo was a guest of the afternoon. Refreshments Refresh-ments wore served. A most delightful affair of tho week was tho afternoon party given by Mrs. Robert Murdock Sr., In hon or of her daughter Mrs. P. A. Thatcher, who leaves In tho noar future to make her homo in Salt Lako City. Music and social chat wero tho featuro3 of tho afternoon. The rooms wero fresh with red and whlto carnations and potted plants. At tho close of tho afternoon a dainty lunch was served and tho twenty ladles present received as favors a dainty Easter basket. Tho Misses Martha and Leda Bingham entertained at a dancing party in Murdocks Tuesday evoning in honor of Miss Mattlo Rltter of Ogden. Tho banquet room and danco hall had the appoarence of a Japanese Japan-ese garden. Dainty refreshments wero served during the evening. Morgan entortalned on Monday ovonlng nt a book party in honor of their brother and sister, Mr. William Heath and Miss Julia Heath of Salt Lake City. A delicious lunch was served In tho Easter Idea after which COO was played. The rooms wero very prettily pretti-ly decorated with daffodils and tho Easter decorations.
