A free picture show will be given at tho Union hall for children at 10:30 a. m. Froo dance at HUlyard's at 4 p. in., and a grand ball In tho evening at the Union hall. Music during tho day will bo furnished by the Hyde Park band. We welcome all tho valley to join with us and spend July 4th. Mr. Robert Anderson and Geo. B. Hendricks of Logan met with some of our city officials on Monday and organized a Red Cross committee for Smlthfleld. Mayor Richardson wns made chairman, and Geo. E. Miles secretary of the general committee to collect $2000, which Is our allotment of tho $350,000 to bo raised in tho state by tho Red Cross organization. A meeting was called In the ovenlng, and tho town appointed to different committees to collect tho amount. Mr. T. B. Farr will attend tho state bankers convention, to be held at Frovo on June 22 and 23. The young couple will mako their home at Grouse Creek. The Sego Lily swarm of Bee-Hive girls entertained on Tuesday evening In honor of Mr. Ershel Larson before be-fore his departure for the U. Y. college, delivered a most Interesting talk before the parents' class of tho Second ward on Sunday, Juno 17, his subject being "Tho ndoloscent period of childhood."
