Thoy urged tho opening of all publlo schools on time and their continuance continu-ance throughout tho school lean Tho consensus of opinion as voiced at tho meeting was that If nocesslty aroso demanding tho uso of school children in tho fields or olsowhoro thoy should be withdrawn from tho classrooms In groups to work under tho supervision of teachers. Tho teachers present declared that only twenty out of every 100 pupils would bo affected by any demand for their services nnd that It would bo a mistake mis-take In Judgment to dismiss tho Schools and permit tho unaffected eighty to remain In Idleness. Preliminary plans for tho next annual an-nual convention of tho association to bo hold In Salt Lnko January 2 to 4 next year wero dlscuasod. Dr. E. O. Gowans, In chargo of securing speakers speak-ers for tho convention, announced that tho prlnclpat educational addresses ad-dresses would be given by Dr. Frank McMurry of Columbia unlvorslty and Frof. J. W.
