Stuart at Welser, Idaho, were hold In tho Wellsvlllo tabernaclo on August 1, 1917. , .Relatives and friends from nearby towns' camo in great numbers to pay their last respect to tholr old acquaintance-. Tho floral offerings were profuse. Appropriate music was furnished by tho ward choir and male quartet. Words of pralso for tho deceased and comfort for tho family wero offered of-fered by Brothers W. Walters was born in Llanedy, South Wales,. February 15, 1843. At tho time of tho move south In 1858, the family traveled as far, south as Cedar City, whero they remained but ono year. iln 1859 Daniel camo to Cacho valley, val-ley, whero ho later met and married Martha Poppleton on December 26, 1864., These two have lived together 52 years. He is survived by a wire, sister, .five daughters, four sons, forty-two grand-children and three great-grand-chltdren. Brother Walters was for many years very prominent as a violinist, also being one of tho first musicians n tho stato. Bolng musically inclined, ho bo-came bo-came qulto proficient as a violinist early In life Ho had tho honor of playing many tlnios for Brlgham Young at festivities. He, through untiring efforts, organized or-ganized tho first band and orchestra In Cacho valloy, making possible greater development In music. Daniel Dan-iel will long bo remembered by the, beautiful music of his much loved violin.' |
