Show NEW SAVAGE OFFICIAIj OPTIMISTIC; OPTI-MISTIC; WELL i PLEASED WITH OUTLOOK. Mr. H. N. Mabery, ejected Secre-V Secre-V tar7 and Treasurer of the Savage ; Tire Corporation, at a recent meet ing of the Board of Directors, quoted some figures a few days ago that emphasized em-phasized the rapid progress the Savage Sav-age concern has made. According to Mr. Mabery, less than two years ago when ho became Iden- ! tilled with the Savage Company, the maximum dally output was approximately approxi-mately scventy-Mvo tires a day. At the present tlmo, between six hundred hund-red and seven hundred tires and about the same, number of Savage Qraflnlte tubes aro built every working work-ing day. This big Increase In output out-put was not brought about by laying stress on rapid work or by cutting j quality, but by dopartmontlrlng the J factory and systematizing tho work. f Factory spaco has been added and the mechanical equipment Increased during the last two years, but the Increase In-crease In factory output Is probably due to more efficient factory methods meth-ods than to any one thing. Savage Tires today are high quality tires and this high standard is assured by the present efficient methods of product-Ion product-Ion and Inspection employed. Two years ago seventy-flve Savage Tires per day was about all that the trade demanded. Now on account of the high standard, quality and satisfaction satis-faction given, seven hundred tires per day will not supply tho domand. The orders from tho coast are greater great-er than ever, and more than 1,000 distributors In the Middle West aro clamoring for Savages. Mr. Maybery states that this big demand will bo supplied. The Factory Fac-tory Is now working sixteen hours a day, employing two shifts, and according ac-cording to Mr. Maybery, a third shift will bo put to work within tho next sixty days, which will increase the output at the Savago plant to moro than ono thousand tires a day. |
