At a special meeting of tho directors direc-tors of tho Commercial club, held Thursday evening, tho houso nnd property pro-perty committee recommended that tho club quarters bo enlarged nnd fitted up so the club dinners, more entertainments, and meeting places could bo held at the rooms. Tho board was favorable to tho proposition, proposi-tion, but asked that plans of tho proposed pro-posed changes bo submitted for approval. ap-proval. Tho commlttco feels that, with tho added room and conveniences, conveni-ences, tho club will become much moro popular and a center of more activity. At present the offices of tho Labor and Supply bureau, tho Cache County Fair association, the Logan chapter of the American lied Cross, and a meeting place for such organizations, and tho Logan Home Building society along with others are located at the club. It was reported by local coal dealers that tho people porhaps had more coal stored now than they had at this timo last year, but tho ynrds had nono nnd wero far behind with their orders. Owing to tho heavy traffic and the great demand for coal throughout tho west, It Is very difficult to get coal. Foreign coal shipments to tho coast havo been discontinued dis-continued so that practically nil the Intenuountaln and Pnciflc coast states are coming to Utah, Wyoming and Colorado for coal. Tho transportation committee was asked to watch tho matter very closely close-ly and see If moro coal cannot bo secured se-cured for Cache county. |
