I movements of some of the central I counties of Uie state may be of In terest to your readers. Considerable business Is being done in Wlllard count around Delta, Oasis, Deseret, and other new towns that are being started. A great deal of land Is being gold some of which Is good and some Is not. Qreaso wood land-strongly pregnnted with alkali, Is no good. There Is, however, an obundanco of good sage and rabbit brush land that Is first class. It Is pitiful to hear unsophisticated un-sophisticated men talk about buying one hundred and sixty acres of land level as a floor and not a bruBh on It. The good Jand Is well adapted for sugar beets, alfalfa, wheat does not thrive well. Thousands of acres of land Is being reclaimed and In the near future will become Quito populous. popu-lous. While Fillmore, Kanosh and other places here are some of the oldest In tho state, they have not had the advantages of electrical power nnd lights up to tho present. Mr. Woodhouse who Is connected with the Minn. Electric Company has been In this county tho past month securing exclusive franchises from tho various settlements for installation of electric lines, etc. The polo lino Is now being built across tho rango of mountains between Richfield and Fillmore, when completed the peoplo will appreciate it. Tho sheep men here who sold their wool at thirteen cents a month or two ago, are pretty sick since the price has gone to twenty-two cents. Thero aro some wealthy sheep men In Mantl nnd most of them have their wool on hand. A resolution was passed In Mantl city council a few nights ago to remove re-move nil electrical poles to tlio sldo of tho streets. . t Our old friend Doctor William H. Ephralm has recently completed a canning factory In which tho canning of pears will be a specialty. Tho Seymour family at Moroni nro pushing tho preliminaries for a glass fnctory, but It Is very hard to iloat stock to build new enterprises In San Peto county. A general cleanup has been Inaugurated Inaug-urated In San Peto county, backed by. the municipal and state ofllcers. Many of the municipalities aro paying pay-ing a bounty on flies.
