WIUi the passing of Elder Jordan ended a useful active lifo He was born In Gosporl, England, August 12, 1849, and came to Utah when six 'years old. His early lifo was spent In Tooele county. In 1881 lie Bottled In Mt. Pleasant wlicrp he soon became an active worker In both municipal and church affairs, serving several terms on the city council. In 1888 he embarked on a mission to Great Britain, luboilug in tho Birmingham and London conferences. Elder Jordon moved in 11)00 to Alice, Ore, and assisted In tho establishment es-tablishment of tho chuich in that locality. lo-cality. He was Instrumental In effecting ef-fecting the oiganlzatlon of Union stake and nctlvo as counselor to F. S. Bramwcll In presiding over that organization. or-ganization. He has been a resident of tho Sixth ward of Logan for three years. Ills genial and pleasant naturo made htm as welcome as a ray of sunshine. Tho boys and gills were his especial friends. He Is survived by his wife, three sons one daughter, ana thirteen grand children. |
