Show mmmmmamimmmiSi55E55mmsa In connection with the National Motorcycle Gasoline Conservation Trials, May 4 and 6, the Federation of American Motorcyclists has decided de-cided to awa;d handsome silver honor hon-or trophies to the three motorcycle clubs having the largest entry lists in the trials. Latest reports from the district chairmen having charge ot the Conservation Con-servation Trials show that each state will likely be represented In the trl- als as practically all the states havo now made application for at le&st one trial. ( All existing economy records for motorcj cles, or for that matter, for anp motor driven vehicle, will be broken. There Is no doubt about that for now It, rooks as It between 2000 and 3000 riders will take part. June 22 and 23 are the dates the Federation ot American Motorcyclists has set for the 1918 Gypsy Tours. Lat Juno 22,000 motorcycle riders rid-ers turned gypsies for two days and took part In the first annual Oypsy Tour. With the great Increased Interest manifested In motorcycles since the United States entered the war, there Is no doubt but that 25,000 to 30,000 riders will participate In the Gypsy Tours this year. It Is not necessary to be an'F. A. M. member to tako part In tho GyVsy Tour, and anyone Interested In the tour whether n member or not, can obtain detailed Information by communicating with any one of the motorcycle manufacturers manufac-turers or with T. H. Thomas, secretary secre-tary of the Federation ot American Motorcyclists, Akron, Ohio. T. It. Thomas, secretary of the Federation of Amorican Motorcyollsts announceh that during the war the F. A. M. will pay the dues ot all members while they are In the army or navy. Thlh Is probably tho first organisation organis-ation of Its kind to do this, and it Is a commendable move, to say tho least. |
