Show DAVID G. ARNOLD IS AMONG THE WODNDED , ' o In the Saturday Issue ot the Jou-nal Jou-nal there was some uncertainty et-pressed et-pressed regarding David C. At bold being a Logan boy, We find the following record at the Home Service office, as given by tils wife February 13, 1918 f" David Cromwell Arnold was born July 17, 1890.' His father died some years 'ago. His mother now resides In Murray, Utah. . Mr. Arnold married lone of our Logan girls, Nettle May iMayne. He waa drafted October S, 1 1917, at Bridge,. Idaho where Le I waa then working. He belonged to I Company B, 161 Infantry, 41st Division. Div-ision. When the news of his bjlng wounded reached Logan Mrs. Arnold Ar-nold was out at Snowvllle Utah, where she has been visiting relatives for some time fast. The Home Service Ser-vice office has kept In closo touch with this family and has been required re-quired to do considerable wor'c In securing "the allotment and allowance allow-ance due the family. They at once wrote to Mrs. Arnold tho sad nowa. Mrs. Arnold reached Logan Sunday evening. Mr. Arnold has written his wife a number ot times that ho had taken out war risk Insurance but vp to date tho record 'of his nppllcntlon has not b'eeu located at Washington. In a letter received on SiUi-'Joy by tho Home Service office this fact Is ! stated and though his Is not ilnal as many applications, wo nro informed in-formed have not yet bsea recorded and Mr. Arnold's may bo among these. It Is sincerely hoped that this has been attended to. Nothing more has been heard except ex-cept that Mr. Arnold has been seriously ser-iously Injured. |
