Mr. Porter Is a well known competent newspaper director di-rector and in the future he will send to the newspapers outside of Salt Lake City each week Items ot interest inter-est pertaining to the War Savings Stamps. We urge each chairman to give local information to the newspapers news-papers and 'we urge the newspaper to use every effort to push the War Savings Campaign to the end of the year. Mr. Porter will have' news for you in the future. It is necessary to sell $50,000 a day of War Savings Stamps for every ev-ery day remaining In the year 1918 in order tomeet our quota la Utah. This can only be done by close co-optratlon co-optratlon of the newspapers, urging the people to keep the pledges they made in June and for those who did not pledge to buy stamps to the extent ex-tent of their ability. This Is the best government investment ever offered, of-fered, that Is the reason why It is limited to $1,000 to any one person. per-son. The newspapers have done such a i great part In promoting not only Lib-cry Lib-cry Loans but War Savings Stamp sales that tho government owes them w' n great tribute and wo hope that their sacrifice and patriotism will bo repaid In a more liberal form In tho future.
