Hogenson of thoExtension Division of tho Utah Agricultural College, State Leader of Club Work In Utah, from O. II.' Benson, Icderal oxpert In chargo of nil club work In the northern nnd western states. Mr. Bonson writes as follows: "You will be glad to know that wo aro pointing with great pride to tho splendid results which have been secured In boys nnd girls club work In Utnu for 1917. In fact, tho figures fig-ures Trom tho different states Indicate Indi-cate that tho achievements In Utah are the best for tho year 1917. In the' light of what has been accomplished, accom-plished, and with tho help of your able leadership for tho coming year, I may we not confidently look forward, in 1018 for the Stato of Utah to hold her splendid record In food conservation through club activities, to continue to bo one of the greatest States In the Union, If not tho greatest, great-est, in club movement." Mr. Benson's statement was based upon tho report of the work for tho year submitted by Prorcssor Hogenson. Hogen-son. A summary, of this report shows tho following: There were thirteen dltfcront projects pro-jects undertaken by the boys nnd girls or Utah last year In which 13C7 clubs were organized. Or these 1206 actually began work nnd 12GG completed com-pleted their projects. In nil 36,703 boys nnd girls enrolled In tho work, while 34,594 began work, nnd 33,491 completed their projects. These boys and girls produced products to the value ot $995,691, rrom which they realized a net profit of $582,101. |
