Notwithstanding tno fact that thousands of stenographers and typewriters havo been appointed In tho government sorvlce in Washington, Washing-ton, D. C, since our country entered enter-ed the war, the United States Civil Service Commission announces that there Is pressing need for several thousand more workers of this class. Women especially are urged to tfffer their services for this office work and thus help in a practical way in the nation's great undertaking. Entrance salaries range from $1,000 to $1,200 a year.
