Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Wood of Hurley, Idaho, former form-er resident of Lewlstou, motored from Uurloy and havo been taking In tho county fnlr and visiting friends and relatives nt Lowlston. Mrs. Emma Telford left last week for a short visit to Idaho Falls. Many of tho Lewlston citizens visited vis-ited nt Logan during tho county fair. Mr. G. A. Hogan was taken suddenly sud-denly 111 Wednesday morning and was rushed to the Utah-Idaho hospital hospit-al where ho submitted to nn operation opera-tion for appendicitis and lntcbttnal derangement. Mr. Hogan Is gt-ttlng along us woll as can bo expected. Mr. Halley Stocks has beon putting put-ting in cement walks nround his placo and making other Improvements, Improve-ments, Mr. nnd Mrs. Earl Karren havo been visiting nt Hyde Park and Logan Lo-gan for several days. Mr. and Mrs. Georgo Haslam newly new-ly acquired citizens of Lowlston wero visiting nt Wellsvlllo last week. Messrs Reuben Knrren and Willard Hendricks Hen-dricks had a fine little racing maro ontered on tho track during tho fair. Mr. and Mrs. Dow Lewis spent tho week at Logan. Mr. nnd Mrs. Joseph Cunningham Wslted nt tho fair on Thursday. Dr. and Mrs. W. H. Parkinson and Mrs, Kronk visited at Logan on Thursday and Friday. While driving homo from Logan Friday night Mr. Erastus Colo's automobile collided with the car driven by Mr. Joseph Wood. Both cars wero going at a lively rate whnn Mr. Wood stopped his car suddenly to assist a car In front of him! not knowing Mr. Colo was -behind him and as a rosult tho cars smashed together doing damage to both cars and shaking up the occupants oc-cupants rather badly. |
