Show Tourist Registers .. On National Forests I Becoming Popular Early this season tourist registers were Installed at the main road en trances to the Intcrmountaln National Nation-al Forests. The registers are conveniently con-veniently placed in mounted, weatherproof weath-erproof boxes, over which a notice, is found ottering tho assistance and cooperation co-operation of tho local Forest Servico organization to those who, upon en-tcring en-tcring tho forest, register their name, 'i Address and destination. I Tho traveling public has made very extensivo uso of tho registers during tho summer, extra books having become be-come necessary on soveral of the more heavily traveled national forest for-est roads. An incident occurring on tho Cache forest, in northern Utah, illustrate tho beneficial uso to which theso registers reg-isters nro put. On August 13 an emergency em-ergency telophono call for people of Tromonton, known to bo spending an outing in tlio mountains, was received receiv-ed at tho Tony Grove Hanger Station. Sta-tion. Theso peoplo had made uso of tho tourist register, and it was thus possible for tho ranger to quickly dotormlne tho location of their camp.
