A violin solo was beautifully rendered by Miss Allen of Cove; recltntlon by Mrs. Claire Sluirawoy of Clarkston; n cornet solo by Master Anderson and Thomas of Richmond, followed, after which Mlrs Sndlo Bornhlsel of Lewlston pleased the audience with a recitation. The next was a duet by Mr. Richard Pil-Uington Pil-Uington and daughter Lnveda, which wns oncored. The morning program ended with n quartet by Bishop Butler But-ler and Company of Cornish. Dinner was then served and tho old people treated to an automobile rido which was greatly enjoyed At 2 p. m. the program opened with n recltntlon by Miss Olsen of Lewis-ton Lewis-ton followed by a duet from Mrs Plant and Miss Wite, of Richmond; Mrs. Dopp .of Ijowiston pleased the audience by Giving an ola time step danco; quartet by Mrs. Dono and company of Smlthfleld, followed by a iortpeech:byJnhJiA5dcr8on.-of Lewlston. A great many people visited the ( cemetery on Decoration Day and a good program was given with Mayor J. J, Richardson in charge. Our streets received n general clean up on Monday and a great uum-ber uum-ber of men and boys responded to "tho cnll of tho city officials to spend that day In removing all rubbish off the streets. j Mrs'. City, wera here for Decoration Dayv ' On Tuesday evening tho relatives and friends of Mrs. Margaret Hnd- field met at her homo to ,c.elcbrato her birthday, and a very pleasnnt I time was had by all.
