Paxman, returned from Denver on Saturday where thoy represented the U. A. C. In tho International In-ternational Dry Farming Congress. According to the statement made by Dr. Harris tho congress was one of the best held In the history of tho organization and was entirely- satis-factory satis-factory to all the members. Two lectures lec-tures wore given by tho Utah members, mem-bers, President Wldtsoo chose as his subject, The Most Important Dry Farming Practice's and Dr. Harris talked on The Effect of Alkali on. Dry Farming. ' Tho U. A. C. atmunl was well represented at tho congress, bo-sldes bo-sldes our own men, Dean V. M. Jardino of Kansas, A. Cooloy of New Mexico, W. L. Quaylo of Wyt-., and A. M. McOmlc of Arizona, camo as representatlvso of our alumni. alum-ni. Dean V. M. Jardino was chosen next president of tho congress I Dr. Harris was also mado representative on tho executive committee from Utah. , Ono of tho most important acts ot Congress was the passing of a resolution reso-lution which provided for a meeting of all the agronomists and perhaps tho directors of tho experiment stations sta-tions of all the western states; this meeting will bo hold in Logan some time In July. |
