Show 1 PRESIDENT OF COUNTY ? FAIR ASSOCIATION NOW AT THE REXBUR8 FAIR I May Bring Good Bunch of Running Horses to Logan September 21, 22 and 23rd. Judges of Races Have Been Selected. Win. H. Tlmln, president of tho Fair Association has gono to visit tho Rexburg fair and to get a lineup on the harness and running horses. If proper arrangements can bo made, at least thirty head of thoroughbred running run-ning horses will be hero. These horses aro very fast and will glvo Bomo exciting races. A llttlo sorrel horso named Button, from California which has won sovunteen races In succession will bo hero with the other gallopers. Mr. L. G. Strong with his horses Is In Roxburg and they, In connection with tho other Idaho horses hors-es and nil tho local horses now In training at tho track will bo tho largest larg-est lineup wo havo ovor had. The recent rain haB helped put tho track In excellent condition and It will bo tho fastest in tho Btato by fair time. Tho local expressmen will put on an oxpressmen's race each da y of the fair. At tho signal they will hitch up, walk ono eighth mile, trot ono eighth, and run ono quarter. Messrs Carlson and Hansen will havo chargo of tho comic races. They will represent repre-sent such characters as Chaplin, Happy Hap-py Hooligan, Mutt nnd Jeff and others. oth-ers. y A very exciting bucking contest Is ;Z7 also being considered. It decided up-m up-m on, a purse will bo offered for tho I best exhibition, two In threo. Messrs Lester Jossup, Ounard Johnson, Silver Sil-ver Harr and other noted riders will no doubt enter. All theso events, races, daylight flro works and other attractions will tako placo between tho heats of tho harness har-ness races so that there will, bo no waits and the management will do their utmost to see that over) thing goes oft lively and tho horsemen get started and off th etrack quickly so there will bo no do'ay. Any horseman or Jockey who deliberately delays matters or cannot get his horse In shnpo to start with tho others, will bo left behind. Messrs William IJowen, James Larson, Lar-son, and Wycllffo Ewing havo been chosen as tho Judges for tho races. T. O. Alvord, starter, and George Uomnoy Jr., timer nnd announcer.
