Show Prehistoric Camels. A partially restored skoloton of a small ancestral camol, Stcuomylus hltchcockl, from tho lower Miocene of Nebraska, has Just boon added to tho oxhlbltod collection In tho geological department of tho British museum. Tho specimen was obtained from Prof. P. D. Loomla of Amherst collugo, Mass., who discovered tho remains of a herd of thoso small animals which had boon suddenly destroyed and burled bur-led by somo local accident. As a camol, Stonomylus Is romarkablo for its cxtromoly slender build, which would render It as ngllo oh a gazollo. It also has molar tooth with unusually unusual-ly dcop crowns, so that It would bo ablo to food on hard and dry grasses.
