Show v, High Mast on Mount Shasta. Climbing the steep sides of, Mount Shasta by moonlight and saying high muss on the perpetual snow at its summit sum-mit at sunrise was the feat performed by Father Cahtr of Yreka Wednesday night and Thursday morning. In the party were Father Cahlr of Yreka, Father O'Sulllvaa of Ked Bluff and John Roberts of Horkeley, all of whom reached the top except Father O'Siillivan, who got only to Thumb Itock. C. M. Allison was guido. Tho priests were anxious to celebrate cele-brate mass at the top of the mountain Thursday morning and the climb was made at night, which Is a rare feat, tho claim being made that this Is the third time that such an attempt has been made.
