Elder Haddock then delivered a most eloquent lec ture upon tho life nnd labors of President Presi-dent Abraham Lincoln. After tracing tho evolution of tho Ancients from a state of barbarism and slavery to ono of civilization nnd freedom; ho lead his hearers to tho formation of our own government, and to the uiblo works of tho groat men who mnde It. He leforred to tho principal events In tho life of Lincoln, from his humble birth and poverty In Kentucky to his elevation to the highest position In the greatest nation on earth. Ho nuido an eloquent plea for tho youth of Israel to rlso up and bo men; men of moral and spiritual worth; to be Abraham Llncolns, nnd not Thomas Thom-as Lincolns. Ho said tho business world Is hungering for men of worth, and men who cnu do things. Ho predicted pre-dicted a bright future for tho youth of Zlou If thoy would make uso ot their opportunities. After Elder Haddocks speech, Miss Leah Christcnsen gave a piano solo, followed by a short speech by Mrs. Merrill. Tho congregation sang, "Tho Spirit of God"; benediction by Bishop Merrill. Mr. Samuel Seamons, Jr., of Clove-land Clove-land ward, Idaho, Is visiting with his parents here. Carl Peck of Salt Lake City paid his friend hero a flying visit yesterday. yester-day.
