Show An Ecclesiastical Umbrella. An umbrella big enough to cover a dozen ponons belongs to tho church of St. Peter Mancroft. Norwich. England. Eng-land. It Is used on wet days for wedding wed-ding parties, so that the bride and bridegroom, tho bridesmaids and guests may not gel their smart dresses spoiled when walking from tho churcu door to the carriages. It Is also used by tho clergy at funerals when the service bus to bo hold by the grave-Bide grave-Bide In pouring rain. That It Is useful Is obvious, and It Is rather remarkable that many other churches do not possess pos-sess such an article as a part of the ordinary church furniture. |
