Show The Tribune Is piobably right when It says Senator Keains "has not attempted at-tempted to organUe any party." Tom may be ignorant, but he Isn't a fool. He knows he could not organize anj thing but he might use his monci to bui the service of others moie competent com-petent than hlmseir. Tom is smait enough for that, and therein is his strength. Tom hasn't attempted to organise a now party, Instead of that he is trying to defeat the regular nominees nom-inees of an old party that has grown grey In most valuable service to ills country: Instead of organizing a now party lie Is engaged In a light to elect a democratic congressman at a time when a republican congressman can be illy spared; Instead of organizing a new paity he Is centering his energies In a light against the success of a republican re-publican ticket and three republican electoral votes. He claims to be supporting sup-porting the republican electoral ticket, but Tom should not forget that It is impossible to serve God and Mammon at the same time. Oh, no, Tom isn't organizing any new party he has merely turned over to another party his newspaper, that it may be used to defeat the republican ticket. Tom isn't organizing any new party. |
