Show EASTER GENERALLY GENER-ALLY OBSERVED. Programs at the Various Houses of Worship Include Special Sermons and Good Music. The Second warders observed Easter ery fittingly Sunday evening with a program of length and merit The choir, under the, direction of 11. Smurthwalte, was never heard to better bet-ter advantage, and tho Individual solo work and addresses were such as to be highly satisfactory. Morrell Chorus Choir llcucdictiou Edward Smith The address of Mr. Illood Is said to have been masterly and of deepest interest in-terest to the Immense congregation, which completely filled the meeting house. Pres. Morrell In his remarks, heartily commended the Individual performers and Miss Ilusb), who presided pre-sided at the organ. Tho occasion was one of real pleasure and the subject of much favorable comment The Kaster service at the Presbyterian Presbyter-ian church Sunday morning attracted an audience that tested the capacity of tho church. Rev.Clcnieiisen delivered deliver-ed an excellent sermon iol.it I w to "Death's Compensation." A ladles quartette, and solo by Mrs. P. E. Heeler Heel-er were greatlj enjoyed At the evening even-ing service, the pastor's thoughts weie along the lino of "buiden-beai-Ing" and he handled this to the very greatest advantage. At this service Miss Edna Llnn favored the audience with a ocal solo. At the Sunday school service at 12:1,") the children rendered a well prepared and excellent .program of recital ions and songs. The church had been tastefully decorated deco-rated with flowers and presented a decidedly de-cidedly pleasing appcaiance. After the morning service, Rev. and Mrs. Clcrncnscn entertained the choir at the home of Mrs.M. S. Orrrrsby, where she and her charming daughter served a most excellent dinner. Those at the table weie: Mi. and Mis. Clemen-sen, Clemen-sen, Prof, and Mrs. llexell, Mr. and Mrs. P.E. Kecler, Mr. and Mrs. N. IS. Moore, Miss Charlotte Kyle, Miss Edna Llnn and Mr F (T. Nelson, of Salt Lake City. Services at the Methodist Episcopal churclr were of a special character, there being the special Easter sermon by Rev. Norflcct and special music. Mrs. Stoney gave an Instrumental solo, Mrs. Llnnarusang and Mr' Lee Thatcher rendered a selection on the clarinet. The service was largely attended at-tended and thoroughly enjoyed, lrr the evening theie was another special sermon by Rev. Norllect and music by Mrs. Norllect and Mr. Ilrown, of Ogden, a student at the A. C. of U. The rostrum was a b.rnk of floweiH and behind this was an electrical elec-trical decoration arranged by Mr. Doud Nappcr, which added much. The church was crowded at the evening service, many being turned away. The Easter collection amounted something more than -MO. At the Sunday school hour the children were presented with colored eggs. E.istcr exercises at the Fourth ward meeting house were lather elaborate, attended by a congregation that crowded the spacious building, and are reported as having been of exceptional excep-tional interest. Mi. Herschcl Ilullcn, Jr. was tho speaker of the evening and gave an address of considerable length bearing on tho Easter Idea. Special music was as follow: Solos by Miss Nora Ellason, Messrs, M. J. Italian! Ital-ian! and Scth Langtonand a quartette by Keller and Co. Tim pcrsor ,cl of tho musicians is in oof of tho thoiough delight there must have been In this pait of the program. The meeting hous" had been decorated with potted plants and palms and presented a very pleasing appearance. At tho St. John's Episcopal church, Rev. Malson delivered air Easter sermon ser-mon of exceptional merit. The music was enjoy able, and a solo l Miss Nora Ellason especially pleasing.
