The Soda Springs Chieftain says: The last sack of wool was put on board the cars Saturday morning and sent east to be worked up into the various articles of wearing apparel. Eighty-one Eighty-one cars were billed fiom this station this year and all of It was clipped In this vicinity with the exception of parts of live cars. These cars contained con-tained 2,108,597 pounds, of which "8,-ti:iG "8,-ti:iG pounds were from other points, leaving a total of 2,030,002 pounds loaded here. This Is 240,002 pounds more than last year's shipments and beats all previous records. The prices paid vilrled from 10 to 22 cents and llgurlng the total at an average of IS cents, which seems a fair way to figure, the value would be about $305,000. This is distributed among the various sheepmen and means very much to them, and is a record of which this section should be proud. |
