Mr Hansen had seemed the right-of-way for the extension af the loop between Wellslllo and Mendon, except In one instance, through Jerry Iiakcr's farm Jerry had asked a pretty high pi Ice according to Mr. Hansen's view and the matter had not been settled when the men went to work grading. Frank Price unwittingly unwit-tingly tore down somo of Mr. Maker's fence, and that gentleman had him arrested. Mr. Hansen came to Logan, put up a $200 cash bond and secured tho release of Mr. 1'rlce. He then met Mr. Halter and the two decided to arbitrate the dltllculty, three men having been selected. The result Is not known. Mr. Hansen says 15 men aie at work on the grade and that It will be finished In fifteen days. The railroad people when they gave him the contract con-tract to complete the work, gave him until next April to finish It. He told them It would be finished in twenty days and they laughed at him. Ho Is now showing them a few things. Mr. Hansen expresses the hope that Logan will get the cut across the valley. In his opinion It won't hurt them and certainly the people of this valley deserve the cut. |
