Show A fine play and Company- n On next Thursday night, Nov. 10, the delightfully droll comedian, Mr. Frank Raeon, and company will present pre-sent at Thatcher Opera House the pastoral comedy, "The Hills of California," Cali-fornia," a play that has taken a prominent prom-inent place among our best plays. Racon made a tour last season in this play and the results were so successful that he was Induced to repeat It again this year and his returns arc double that of last year. There arc many very novel features In this rural classic. There Is a band of educated chickens that do everything but talk, then the horse and cow add much to the most realistic farm scene ever attempted at-tempted on any stage. Mr. Racon's support Is of the very best Miss Hesse Racon. who made so much of "Poppy Hill" last year, will bo seen In the same character. Mr. Wilfrid Rodger, Rod-ger, an actor of sterling merit, has an Important role. (Jus Tate, who will be icmcmbeied as the fat olllcc boy, Is still saying, "law Is the rule of action." ac-tion." From a scenic standpoint "The Hills of California" Is one of the most elaborate on the road this season. The marine view of San Francisco bay showing the Golden Gate and the many Islands of the bay is a scene seldom sel-dom equaled, together with the other many novel happenings, make this production one that Is very Interesting. |
