They are proficient In tho use of tho rlllo. They mako flno'Boldlers. Thoy aro like the Slavonic races, religious to a degree bordering upon fanaticism. They are hospitable, but havo never forgotten how to bo cruel. Tholr hatred of the Turk Is ground In upon thorn by tho memory of ccnturlos of oppression, and when thoy tako up arms against tho Mussulman they glvo no quartor. |
