Show The funeral services over the remains re-mains of Mrs. Anna Hall Molir were held in the Fourth ward meeting house on last Wednesday at U p. in. The speakers were O. . Llllnqulst, Andreas Peterson, John II. Anderson, Alfred Hansen and Lars Peterson. The services were very Impressive, and all the speakers dealt upon the noble qualities of the deceased, and offered consoling words to the relatives. The Fourth ward choir rendered some appropriate singing. The solo given by Melvln Ballard was very touching. A Mr. Kcndrlcks of Prorldcnce while handling powder yesterday afternoon was severely injured by a premature oxploslon. It seems that the gentleman set lire to the powder and before he could get away the same exploded and filled one side of his face with grains of powder, and Injured one eye. Drs. Budge and Calderwood gave the man surgical attention and sent hliu home in a fair state of preservation. Tho death or Dora Terry at Toquer-vlllc Toquer-vlllc will 'be a s urpi Ise lo many of her friends who are not In this Immediate vicinity. While It was known that her health was generally poor, her sudden death was not anticipated. Miss Terry was In the employ of the Logan Knitting Works for about two years prior to her departure for Toqucrvllle, in southern Utah, where she went thinking that a change of climate might be beneficial to her. However,she gradually declined until 5 a.m.on July 4th,whenshedledof heart failure. She was burled the same day at 5 p. m., conditions being such that it was Impossible to keep the remains longer. Her mother was the only relative of the north, who w,as with her. The young woman was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Terry, and was born In Lewlston, December 15th, 187:5. She was a most estimable young lady, amiable In her disposition and kind to all. 'While naturally weak and frail, she always had a disposition to be energetic and industrious. in-dustrious. Many of her friends deeply regret her dying and being burled so far from home and friends, and were It not for the climatic conditions of the south, some of her associates would Insist upon having her remains brought to Logan. Thk Repuhucan condoles the loss of Miss Terry, and sympathizes with her relatives aqd friends. |
