While their avcrago Is rightly made up from flic i L . past tilne months, that average Includes money that lias been spent for Doubts' Doubt-s' fv - vard, bridges, stccets, etc., none of which will come In during tho present j 1, I ' quarter. A better way of getting at the expenses for October, November; ;fit ' and December Is to take .the contingent expenses of July, August, September I ? and October, 'and make an average. I , In July $2020.31 was spent but this in eluded $1,000 Interest,- leaving $1020.31 I ; legitimate contingent expenses. 1 In August $1302.58 was spent as contingent expenses. ; In September $1432.05 was spent and this Included Interest of $150.00, leav- i f lug $1282.00 as legitimate contingent expense. I In October $1491.70 was spent and this Included a $415.00 sprinkler, leaving $1070.70 as legitimate expense. , t This averages $1170.50 a month, or $.1571. U8 for thiee. months. W" havo I , . placed It at $4,000.00 In order to be fair. H o jw O O' 0 0 j U - The $1300 due on Electric Light llonds docs not belong where the Journal i K- places It for the reason that the light fund Is separato and this $1,300 Is to.be Ek paid froni that light fund. v In remembering that theiels duo the City Hall Fund a certain amount, "The Only" kouoot(?) to mention that thcioaro also on hand notes due to that fund amounting to $3778.30. They also forgot to tell jou that $3072.00 of that hall fund was spent by them and never put back out of the taxes for the reason that they had spent all that money but $480.00. In saying above "Due City Hall Fund (for which Republicans are responsible)" respon-sible)" It is meant that this administration Is not responsible for tho $3,072 spent by the Democrats. It Is responsible for the $1,010 It ha collected and the remaining notes, a combined total of $5,718.59. The justice of this can be appreclatod by all. jt j jt j j j J Upon taking the reins, this Republican council had to go to tho bank and borrow more than $2,000 to pay oil debts contracted by the Democrats, which came due Immediately. The Republicans should be given credit for this expenditure. ex-penditure. It Is their due and we have rightly placed It in our statement. Who bonded Cache county for $60,000?
