Through education and culture the nations ot tho world havo beon taught that whoro peaco Is there lovo abides, and aro being brought to a realization of the brutality ot war and tho nobility no-bility ot arbitration as n means ot settling differences and disputes. Throughout tho land organizations nro nt work preaching nnd teaching tho doctrlno of peace, nnd tho recently re-cently established custom ot setting apart n daV for tho general discussion of peaco topics has mot with wldo favor. 'In perpetuation of this custom, I, Wlll'nm Spry, governor of tho stato of Utah, do hereby designate Sunday May 18, 1013, Peaco Day, nna call upon tho people of tho stato to gather gath-er together and rally to tho support of this great movement for tho benefit bene-fit nnd blessing ot mankind and 1 further urgo that appropriate peace exorcises bo held In tho schools of tho stato on Monday May 19, 1913.
