Following the singing of tbe Easter Hymn by the stake choir, Apostle Lyman said In part: I am desirous of having the spirit of tbe Lord while I shall speak to you that there will be brought forth thought that will be profitable to the saints In this splendid stake of Zlon. With the help of the Lord I hope tbe hearts of those present will bo touched touch-ed that wo may readily appreciate the blessings which come through the gospel. At the priesthood meotlng IbbI evening there was only nbou. 8 per cent of tho priesthood of tie stake In attendance This is not ns It should be. Instructions which are good for bishops are good ror over other man. Tho bishop should he the husband of one. wife, so should cery other man. There should bo no old batchelors or old maids among us, marriage should be cultivated and encouraged always. Every woman should be the wife of a husband and every man should take unto himself a wife. The Lord requires parents to teach their children the proper mode of living, and If they fall to do this and the child shall sin as a result and shall lose Its soul, then that Bin -ii j will fall upon the heads of tho par ts ents. If tbe president of tho stake, members of the high council, or any officer in the church, overlook tbe kind of teaching and training required requir-ed of them and sin result, then that sin is upon their heads Thero Is a Held at horaet for the man and women who aro called Into the world to preach tho gospel. Thero I Is a ministry at homo that is just as acceptable in tho eyes of tho Lord as a mission in England or any other country. We have peoplo at homo who need help and support, and tho men and women should be magnify Ing their calling constantly. It Is tbe ?islness of every man wno is baptls cd or orda'ned to the priesthood 1o enter into tho ministry. Thero is 9 percentage of the members of the . church who choose to remain at home and not attend to ecclesiastical duties. There Is hlso a percentage who enter Into the work with a vim. Those who do not attend to these duties du-ties should bo looked after by the bishops. It they fall to seo to It that tho people pray and partako of I the Sacrament In the season the'eof, the sins will be upon the heads of the bishops. I compliment the peo-pie peo-pie of this valley for leaving strong drink alone. Keep your territory al-ways al-ways dry. Liquors hro all right for medical purposes, but thoy should never he used Tor tippling.? 1 " ,' During the afternoon services the . names of Isaac Smith.' and Joseph E."
