Of. flclals and Citizens of Newton Will Consult on Road Matter The county commissioners will go to Cache Junction today whero they will meet with officials of the Oregon Ore-gon Short Line company and citizens from Newton and Clorkston on the matter of establishing a now road In tho vicinity of the present crossing on Hear Hlver, bb we announced In a recent lssuo oi this paper. Tho Newton people H will be asked to provldo tho right H of w-ay for the new road. Mr. Cron-H Cron-H nulst chairman of the board of com-H com-H mlssloncrs says that the 7 per cent H grado will bo reduced to npproxl- niatoly 2 per cent by the new route. H Tho citizens nt the west sldo towns H aro anxious about tho matter and H -will bo much concerned until It Is H ultimately settled.
