Show COKEVILLE MARSHAL WOUNDED BY BANDITS N, Hansen Seriously Wounded By Outlaws Believed To Be The Notorious No-torious Whitney Brothers. Word was received by F. E. Hansen, claim agent for the Utah Light & Railway company, shortly after midnight mid-night last night, that his brother N. Hansen, was shot and serlosuly wounded woun-ded at Cokevllle, Wyoming, where ho Is marshal. Mr. and Mrs. Hansen had retired for the night nt their suite n tho Palace apartments, 145 South Third East street, when the message was received. Mr. Hansen hurried to Cokevllle on the first train available which left bere about 8 o'clock this morning. Only tho most meager account ot the affair was obtainable. It Is believed be-lieved that the notorious Whitney brothers, whom N. Hansen had been compelled to fire upon some niont'nF. ago, are responsible for the attack. The wife of tho wounded man sent the telegram to his brother last night, ajklng F. E. Hanson to come at onco a3 the wound was considered serious. Another brother, John E. Hansen, deceased, was city editor of The Des-eret Des-eret News for many years. |
