Saturday Feb. 10th concluded what inny bo considered to be a record brenklug week In tbo history of the Agricultural College. It was nt' this time that the registration nt the Col-lego Col-lego approached very closely the thirteen thir-teen hundred marx for the first time In the history of the Institution and when the first strictly college registration regis-tration exceeded one thousand, tho exast figuro being 1003 students registered regis-tered In college work. Tho teachers of the county, one hundred strong, visited tho college Saturday and wcro addressed during tho day by Prof. William Peterson of tho department of Geology. Prof. Peterson discussed tho question of local geology and tho phases of it which should be Introduced Into gram mar grades. Tho Roundup culminated the first week of Its existence Saturday afternoon after-noon by a series of spraying demonstrations demon-strations hold lu the college orchard, which wcro attended by the hundreds farmers and county teachers. I Peterson talked at tho same meeting J upon tho agricultural and Industrial ' phases of bacteriology, mentioning particularly tho Influence upon agricultural agri-cultural nnd domestic science that bacteria have.
