Show LIGHT WIRE KILLS BOY IN HIS HOME George Burton, Aged 13, Receives; Full Force of Powerful Electric Current. (icorgo Crlsmon Uurton, aged III years, son of William S. Uurton, a well-known mlnig mnn, residing n' 184 II. street, "wns killed by an electric elec-tric shock about 7:30 o'clock last night in the basement of his home, when he grusped a lighting wire. Only On-ly the boy nnd his sister Helen, nged 15 yenrs, were In the houso nt the time of the fntullty. The lad went into the cellar to chop kindling. His sister saw a flash and heard n sizzling sound In the cellar. Hurrying Hurry-ing downstairs she saw her brother upon tho floor, the fatal wiro in his hand. Tho young girl attempted to disengage tho body of the boy from (he wire, but failed. Neighbors saw tho flash and were guided Into the collar by Miss Uurton. Attempts to resuscitate tho boy wtre fruitless. Extending Into tho cellar from the floor above Is an ordlnnry "drop" or extension electric light cord. The boy vns killed when he took his cord In his hand. It Is supposed that a portion por-tion of tho rubber and cotton, used ns insulation ,hnd been rubbed away from tho wire,.
