Show PROTEST AGAINST BICYCLES ' Logan City, Oct. 11, 1912 , Editor Republican: Is it fair that , tho people of Logan, after having '. been requested to have the sidewalks paved, and to pay heavy assessments ! somo doing it willingly and others under protest that the blcjclo rider shall have the right to ride on sidewalks side-walks and those who have paid for It must step aside while he whlzzeB by, in moBt cases not a bell to sound a warning oi his approach. Why should our old people ond small children, b0 disturbed when walking? Where Is there safety. When nutomoblles frighten them on tho streets and blcyclo riders all males ranging from six years up to eighty, take possession of the sidewalks? side-walks? If men can ride from Smlthflcld to Logan on tho county road In 22 minutes, mi-nutes, why can they not do It In tho streets of the city? Let the Commercial Club, the A. C.
