Show REPORTS FROM WELLSVILLE Bailey and Parker Interments-Baseball Games-Visit of Congressman Howell WELLSVILLE, July 8-Del!a, the' eight-year old daughter of Cyrus A. Bailey and wlfe.diedon Friday July A, after a severe illness of a week's duration. dura-tion. Funeral services were held in the tabernacle Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock, Bishop E.R.Owen presiding. The following selections were beautl-fully beautl-fully rendered: "I Need Thee Every Hour," "Nearer My God To Thee," "Sometime We'll Understand" and "Your Sweet Little Rosebud Has Left You." The speakers upon this occasion were: Alt Smurthwalte, Dr. P. R. Merrill, Brother Hawkins, Alexander Spence, S. B. Mltton, Chas. R. Bailey, and Bishop Owen, all of whom spoke words of sympathy and consolation to the bereaved parents and relatives. The opening prayer was offered by Counselor W. H. Darley and the benediction bene-diction by Counselor Heber Parker. The floral offerings were profuse and beautiful and were carried by little girl members of the primary. The pall bearers were Sarah G. Darley, Mame Williamson. Mary Wooaward, and Edna Jones, all officers of the Primary association. Larue, the 4 year old daughter of Wlllard R. Parker and wlfe,-dled on Sunday ' morning of convulsions. Funeral services were held in the tab ernacle on Monday at 4 p. m. where a number of relatives and friends assembled assem-bled to pay respect. Congressman and Mrs. Howell with members of their family spent the Fourth In Wellsville. Mr. Howell delivered the oration upon that occasion. oc-casion. Last Wednesday a game of baseball was played hero between the Occidentals Occiden-tals and the Wellsville boys. For once the Wellsville boys met their equal, as at the end of the gamo the score stood o to 0 In favor of the Occidentals. Another match game will be played play-ed here between the Garland and Wellsville boys on Saturday, July 11. It Is expected this will be one of the best games of the season. Mrs. Henry Maughan Is seriously 111 with typhoid fever. Mrs. W. If. Israelsen came up from Ogden last week to remain for an indefinite in-definite time with her parents, Mr, and Mrs. H. J. Ames. Miss Anna Mathewson returned to her home .in Brlgham, after a pleasant pleas-ant visit In our city. During herstay here she was the gtlest of Misses Millie and Eva Maughan. A boy was born on the 6th to Mrs. Will Robblns. Misses Nellie aud Martha Duke of Provocameup to spend the Fourth. They are the guests of W. H. B. Maughan. |
