Show The Mutual League Plays Two Games i The first gamesof the Mutual leaj-uo baseball series for Logan were played Friday and Saturday on the B. Y campus. The game Friday afternoon between the Logan First ward and the Hyde Park teams was a very good exhibition of amateur baseball. Cutting out the first Innings In which Hyde Park scored four runs it wasa close contest. This being the first name for the First ward players they went In a little nervous. This fright soon wore, off, however, and so fast was the game played ih.it it took but thirty-nine minutes to play the seven tunings. The i.ew white suits of the First wardeis showed up to good adva taut-age taut-age and with the class of ball these boys are capable of playing they should make u good run for first place honors in the Mutual league. Providence won from the Logan Fifth ward Saturday afternoon by the score of 8 to 5. The Providence team took tho lead at the beginning of the game and the Fifth Ward Mutual boys were unable to overtake the score made by ihu youths from Providence. O Adams made the sensational play of the gamt. He lilt a cenlerUeld My for a homo run. Both games were umpired by E. G. Peterson.
