Ever since the first of the month the appetite of the local angler for his favorite sport of trout fishing has been made keen by the attractive displays of the city shop windows. Fortunately For-tunately the opening of the season coincided with a holiday and all who love trout fishing were able to Indulge in 'their favorite recreation though many preferred to wait until later when the rush would not be so great. With many the loveof Ashing becomes a passion and they will agree with Isaac Walton that fishing is one of the high arts and will ask with him, "Is it not an art to deceive a trout with an artificial fly, a trout that Is more sharp sighted than any hawk? He that hopes to be a good angler must not only bring an Inqulrlug.searchlng, observing wit, but he must bring a large measure or hope and patience and a love and propensity to the art Itself " |
