Like wooden houses, thatched roofs aro rare in London. There Is a beautiful specimen In Chamberwell grove, not far from Chamberwell green. Standing back from tho street, It Is embedded In the richest folia'" and clad In Ivy. Tho thatching is of ancient date, in good repair and evidently the work of a highly skilled thatcher.
