Theboaidof commissioners of the county of Cache met in tegular session on last Friday. The business done was largely a matter of loutlno work, nothing of startling Importance being before the board. The bonds of the following road su-pcrv su-pcrv Isors of the county were approved: W. il. Shaw, Paradise; Geo. W. Sum-mers, Sum-mers, Avon; .1. C. Peterson, Logan; Marcus Rogers, ltcnson; Wm. b Smith, Richmond; II. M. Godfrey, Clarkston; Kphralm Yates, Millvillc; Robert 11. Thornlcy, Smlthflcld; John Hilton, Wollsvllle; Samuel II. Kent, Lew 1st on; Solomon Allen, Covcvllle; Wlllard II. Chtigg, 1'iovldeucc; An-thou An-thou Kouller, of Young district. The bonds of Alma Thcurcr, retail liquor dealer, and W. N. Mose9, deputy treasurer, treas-urer, were also accepted. Tho request of Wesley J acques and others that an appropriation bo made to aid In a county fair during the coming com-ing fall was refused. The following-named poisons were placed on the monthly Indigent list: John Ilaucr, Providence, $4.00; Annlo Salvorsou. Hyrum, $5 00; Pauline Christensen, Hyrum, $7.00; and tho allowance ot John Sandlford, of Paradise, Para-dise, was Increased to $10 per month, The reportof Commissioner Knowlcs, 10. II Nielsen and lCugcnc Schaub, a special commltuu appointed to examine ex-amine the maps and plats of Salt Lake and Weber counties as a future guide for Cache county, was submitted and held for further action Upon the request of Lovenus Olscn and olhcis that a special lax be levied for road building in tho Young load district (a part of College precinct) the county attorney was requested to draw up it lesolutlon for tho same. Tho upper county poor farm was leased to Charles NymanJr. for tho ensuing year at a rental of $92 fio, and tho lower farm to Gotlelb Smith ct al. for $113. 0. O. Dunn was appointed road su-psrvlsor su-psrvlsor of the Collego precinct; Andrew An-drew Anderson, of Mendon precinct; and Kraslus Larsen, of Newton precinct. pre-cinct. The resignation of Daniel Lloyd, road supervisor of Sterling precinct, was accepted and John Itcdford was appointed to 1111 the vacancey. Samuel Kent made a verbal request that a county road In Lowlston be drained. This was referred to Com missioner Godfrey. The matter of rcpahlng the county road from Providence to the sugar factory was referred to Commissioner Knowles. A bill of $24 claimed to be duo from Leonard Lltz, of Lewlston,,to Cache county, was referred to county attorney. attor-ney. J. C. Johnson Jr., of the Fourth ward, was appointed deputy sheriff with a salary of J25 per month. The claim, of T. W. Obray for road work was referred to Commissioner Israclson. A claim of II. K. Merrill was considered consid-ered an Improper charge and was not allowed, Tho claim of Wm. U)bcc,of Lewis-ton, Lewis-ton, for quarantine on account of smallpox, was rejected. The claim of tho Wellsvllle Co op for lumber used on roads was rejected, P. U. Van Ordeti, of Lewlston, re-s'gned re-s'gned as justice of the peace, |
