Show Republican Candidates. II. A. Pedersen, lepubllcan nominee for representative from Mic Center, owns to a Norwegian nativity, having been born in the "land of the midnight mid-night sun" forty-three years ago, He can trace his lineage back to tho Vi-i Vi-i kings, those courageous Norsemen who conquered everything and everybody within a radius of a thousand miles. Mr. Pedersen came to 'Jtah and Cache county In 1880, and the same qualities that enabled his countrymen to conquer con-quer the world enabled him to light courageously and successfully with life in tills, a foreign land. After a short stay here, Mr Pedersen went on u mission to tho people of his home land, and later went on another to tho same place. In these he was very successful, and on his return In 1803 he founded tho business of which he is the successful head today. Asan Insurance, loan and real estate combination, II. A. Pedersen & Co aro as widely and favoiably known as any combination In this north country. coun-try. Ry persistent, energetic effort, combined with honesty, Integrity, liberality, lib-erality, courtesy and close application to business, Mr. Pedersen has made a splendid business for himself and en-Joys en-Joys the greatest confidence of his business associates, as well as that of the general public. Though a republican from the beginning be-ginning of republicanism In this county, coun-ty, and one of the most active workers In the party, he has never sought political po-litical preference. Though Importuned time and again, II. A. Pedersen has always refused to let his name go before be-fore the public except at those times when there was little hope of victory. The only political olllce ever held by him has becu that of justice of the peace, a position ho accepted only In response to party demand. Mr. Pedersen was named as tho party's cholco for representative because be-cause ho seemed the best available man at this time, he was named because be-cause tho party has confidence In disability, dis-ability, and becauso they desired to honor both him and tho party as well. Mr. Pedersen has a personal following that Is by io means small, his acquaintance ac-quaintance extending far boyond tho confines of tho valley, and to know "Hans" Is to appreciate him. As a capable man, a strong republican, a taxpayer and representative business man, Air. Pedersen should command the fullest party support, and his personal per-sonal relations with those outside tho party should, and no doubt will, bring him many additional votes. Mr Pedersen Ped-ersen is worthy of any man's suilrago |
