Show Lewiston. LEWISTON, June 2C Mrs. Samuel Evans is very ill. The funeral of her infant baby was held Friday, Juno 21st, Mr. Beck, of 'Nowton, father of M. T. Beck, of Lewiston, died very suddenly at his homo Saturday, Sat-urday, June 22nd. Tho family has tho sympathy bf friends in their bereavement. With tho help of the Japanese laborers, the beet crop in Lewis-ton Lewis-ton bids fair to be a grand success. suc-cess. In spite of the very unusual un-usual amount of wet weather tho work is progressing finely. Wo of Lewiston will have to celebrate the "glorious Fourth" in our own homes, or go out of town, us wo understand that for somo reason there will not be the usual public demonstrations here on that day.
