Show Davy Eeese ..' Reminiscent The proposed sale of the tabernacle tab-ernacle square front has caused I Uncle Davy Reese, the well! He scates that the late Reuben Gates and himself hauled the first rock for the tabeivracle one uay anout lorty years ago. He met Elder Gates one morning mdsaid, "Reuben, "let us do good today." "All right," was the reply, re-ply, "what shall we do?" "Go' and get some rock for this tabernacle taber-nacle they are talking about," said Mr. Reese. The agreement was quickly reached and the two went up Green canyon and 'brought down a load of rock. The road wTas slippery and in bad condition and caused them a J great deal of trouble, but they succeeded in getting the rock to the square and left it where the building now stands. Uncle Davy is rnach opposed to selii ig the square and thiuks Reuben Gates would come back and remonstrate remon-strate against the sale if he were : permitted to do so. |
