Show Before the Footlights Lincoln J. Carter's "Darkest Hour," as given out at the opera house Saturday evening, is something some-thing of an improvement on the generality of his plays. There is more plot to the piece, more interest in-terest to the characters, the players ' were all above the average, aver-age, and the scenic effects are unusually good. The disappearing disappear-ing train s.-.ene is remarkably effective, and was heartily received. re-ceived. Tonight John Crittenden Webb's pastoral drama, "Sandy Bottom," will be the attraction j at the opera house. |
