There has been un excellent record rec-ord ot attendance made in all departments. depart-ments. Very few pupils havo been tardy nnd truancy has been almost unknown during tho wholo school year. The puplla have had romarknbly good health during nil the year, no contagion having been in tho entlro ulstrici. Tho teachers of tho grades' missed but vet few days from Bchool on account of Bickncss. The majority placed in a room with tho pupils of ot school. Some changes havo been mado in tho grading or thes chools during the past year, which havo been moat advantageous ad-vantageous to the pupils and will very materially advance them in their future fu-ture school work. Tho puplla of each? room wero divided into two sections, those pupils who wero able to go more rupldly than the others were placed In one section and' allowed to advance ad-vance us rnpldly as they could, while the rest of tho pupils of tho room advanced ad-vanced ns well as they could and ma'do their grudo. Tho fast puplla tn some Instances mado a wholo grado and a' hair during tho past year, and during tho next year will mako a grado ana a half, making thrco grades in two years. In one grade there woro found twenty-four fast pupils, who .wero placed in n room with, thop uplls of tho next higher grado, and beforo' the yoar was out completed their own' work and also tho work of tho uoxl grade ubovo them, completing two yeara" work in one. in the seventh grados tho work has been given along the lino ot tho high school plan, the teachers specializing, one teacher giving both classes all the geography, agriculture and hygiene, and anothor teacher tho arithmetic nnd each tencher giving the other lea. sous to his own pupils. This plan has worked splendidly, much bettor results being obtained In all tho sub jects. Tho best of harmony haa existed among tho incmbors ot tho faculty and the pupils, tho parents and trustees, and it is tho concensus of opinion that this has been one of tho most success' tul school years. Tho trustees havo given the teachers teach-ers Bplendld support, and everything 'that they could do to make (he school yenr successful hns been done. Tho patrons of tho schools have' given their share of support, .for which tho.teachors desire to express their appreciation. Tho buildings havo boen well tnkon care of and tho caretakers care-takers have done much to help in the taking care of tho health of tho boys nnd girls. Tho schools will closo in two weeks, May 1C.
