Show o STAY AT LEHI. Lehi is sending annually scores of young men and women to other towns to gain a high school education. She is paying annual-, ly thousands of dollars that Logan Lo-gan and Salt Lake might upport rival institutions, where the work that could and should he done at home is duplicated. Mere sentiment senti-ment and false educational laws and theories are the causes of much of this unnecessary exportation expor-tation of young people and money. Would it not be much better if our young people couhl receive their High School education at home? Should they not receive their training in the midst of the people and the environments where they expect to spend their after lives? With such an education educa-tion as a foundation will they not make better and more useful members of the community, being more sympathetic and belter able to realize what is expected of them and what they can do? After Af-ter three or four years spent at home, then the University will broaden the horizon as it takes the high school graduate into its calmer and wider field. Let the young men and women of Lehi st'ay under the parental roof until they are prepared to go away, meanwhile making the most of their opportunities, and their success is assured. |
